I don't consider myself a "writer". Can I still take a class?
Of course! No previous experience required. All you need is an open heart and mind.
Do I need to be working on a book or a big creative project?
Absolutely not. You don't even have to consider yourself a creative person. We have plenty of students who work full-time corporate jobs and have never taken any kind of art class in their life. We also have novelists, actors, memoirists, copywriters, and screenwriters who are just interested in digging into their memory bank and honing their writing skills. Head to our class descriptions and find the right class for you. You can always reach out to info@brooklynwriterscollective.com for advice.
I am not ready to share my story publicly.
Our classrooms are designed to hold space for the good, the bad, the scary and the secret. Everyone signs an NDA at the start of the session.
I can't afford these classes!
Sliding scale options are available. Please email info@brooklynwriterscollective.com.
What if I register for class but need to drop out at the last minute?
We don’t offer full refunds but will do our best to give you a credit for the following session or retreat before the end of the calendar year.
